In July 2014 RC Chelsea sent a delegation to our friends from the Bavarian RC Passau-Dreiflüssestadt to celebrate their handover. The celebration dinner took place in a picturesque part of the cloister. The highlight of the evening was the 8h long cathedral concert where 6 musicians performed on the biggest organ in the world. As the immediate Past President Yvonne celebrated her birthday the same day, she invited for a midnight drink at the cathedral crypt.
The newly appointed President Konstantin and other members gave a tour around the old town of Passau the next day. Sergeant-at-arms Wilhelm showed the traces of catastrophic floods from 2013 in his hotel 'Residenz' when the water flooded the whole old town with water levels of almost 13 metres (507 inch).
Alute, who visited our Club in London twice already, was the perfect host and her garden party with guitar sounds and good food was the perfect way to say good-bye to the Bavarian cultural treasure on the three rivers.
